Dr.DeMaio

Dr.John DeMaio was born and raised in Bowie Maryland, He attended his undergraduate pre-med studies at Prince George's Community Collage and the University of Maryland. He was accepted to the New York Chiropractic Collage where he received academic honors and was elected Directors Assistant at Levittown Outpatient Facility where he served his two year internship.

Dr. DeMaio began his practice in 1990 in Annapolis, MD. He has treated over 6000 patients from the local community, Virginia and Washington D.C.
In 1995 Dr. DeMaio moved and developed a family practice in Crofton, MD. As primary health physician. (many look to Dr. DeMaio as a family doctor) he incorporates a full spectrum of medical and holistic diagnostic procedures along with nutritional, medical and "home remedy" treatments which simply "fill in the gap" in your medical doctor. The treatment provided is neither alternative nor complementary. It is providing you with a physical and nutritional foundation to keep you well. His philosophy is to treat the cause, not the symptom and to allow the body to heal itself, when able. He believes in a conservative approach and makes the proper medical referrals and recommendations when more aggressive treatment is necessary. He is the only physician in the local region who practices "functional medicine", a nutritionally based medical treatment.
Dr DeMaio is the Chiropractic sports physician to Bowie State University Athletic Department and lectures on Chiropractic physiology and Nutrition throughout the state. He is a candidate for the board certification diplomate in clinical nutrition.

Dr DeMaio is appointed to the panel for the Maryland Neurologic Institute, associated with the Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is a part of a team of physicians such as Neurologists, Orthopedists, Neurosurgeons, and Neuroradiologist involved with physical medicine and pain management. This team is dedicated to the health and well-being of all our patients.
